Your profile

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our Buymie team.

Job Responsibilities

• Write clean, concise code that is stable and extensible,
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application, debug and resolve production issues as needed,
• Communicate frequently and effectively with other engineers on the team in addition to our product managers and creative team,
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency,
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, and fix bugs,
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional code,
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies and utilize top industry technologies,
• Implement Material Design principles with a strong focus on UI and user experience,
• Estimate task complexity and self-manage execution of medium to large features/bug fixes, ensuring committed work is delivered on time,
• Work closely with engineering teams.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience,
• More than 5 years of Android development,
• Solid background in software development and design patterns,
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java,
• In-depth knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android,
• Solid understanding of the mobile development lifecycle, including UI/UX principles,
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (e.g., Retrofit, Hilt, Firebase),
• Good Knowledge of Android Clean Architecture,
• A demonstrable portfolio of Android and Android-related apps is a must,
• Good English language skills, both written and spoken,
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
